This method is extreme but works well especially for leaks in vapor carrying ducts, manway doors etc.Simply fill each effect with water through the use of the CIP spray balls with water until it has cascaded over the top of each effect. This will also fill the steam side of your process. Keep filling until the water reaches the highest point in the system. It may be useful to remove an instrument which is at or near the high point in one or more vapor ducts. If your concerned about the water over pressurizing the system it wont if your pressure relief valve is working and if you have removed a high point instrument.
